Chris Sass

Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies

Chris Sass is an Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Landscape Architecture. He also holds an appointment in the Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences programadvising students and serving on the program’s Steering Committee. Courses taught range from LA design studios and Water Management in the Urban Environment to Urban Forestry. In addition, he teaches and coordinates Professional Development courses for Landscape Architecture. 

Research interests include urban forestry issues and urban stormwatesystemsSass is part of the Urban Forest Initiative at the University of Kentucky; he helped develop the Urban and Community Forestry Undergraduate Certificate and routinely works with non-profit groups such as Trees Louisville.
