Barn Voyage!
For 32 years, the second floor of the E. S. Good Barn was home base for The Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Kentucky. In this space, students learned, struggled, and achieved great things and formed countless memories in the process.
We invite everyone connected to our program—alumni, current students, faculty and staff (both current and former)—to join us on Saturday, April 27, 2024 for an afternoon in which we will tour our new space (Gray Design Building) and our original home (Cooper House), before relaxing and visiting in the Good Barn.
We look forward to seeing many of you there!

Time TBA | Keeneland
ASLA KY is offering a brunch CEU followed by an afternoon at the races. Their generous sponsor, DWA, will provide food along with a morning educational session and tailgate. 1:00 PM–2:30 PM | Gray Design Building
Tour the new Gray Design Building and hear from past and current faculty. Speakers include Chris Sass (Department Chair, 2022–present), Ned Crankshaw (Department Chair, 2010–2022), Horst Schach (Department Chair, 1976–2010), Mark Taylor (UKLA Advisory Board), and Ally Cerqua (ASLA KY Student Chapter).
2:30 PM–3:30 PM | Cooper House
Tour the original home of UKLA, which has been recently renovated.
4:00 PM–7:30 PM | E. S. Good Barn
Celebrate our past and future with alumni, current students, faculty and staff. Tour the Good Barn, sign the pin-up boards, take fun selfies, eat delicious food, and trade stories of your time in the barn.
